Steam-bent from solid ash, each slat is coaxed into a gentle arc and hand-finished in a soft gradient that drifts from sea-foam to lavender to mint. The natural ash rockers and arm–swoops keep things grounded, showing off the wood’s golden grain against the candy-shop colors. Hidden seat rails, through-bolts, and tidy dowel plugs give the bench its clean, Scandinavian bones while adding the strength you expect from real joinery.
Sized for two at 40 in W × 30 in D × 36 in H, Pastella slips easily onto a porch, nursery corner, or studio loft—anywhere you want a gentle sway and a pop of happy color. Every piece is built to order in my Greenville, SC shop: I bend and laminate the ash, shape the rockers, then paint each slat with low-VOC milk paint before sealing in a silky, kid-safe topcoat.
